Postponed from April’s end to May’s end to re-strategize its 10th anniversary preparations, Ayo A Ghana’s Kumasi Fashion Week which had a two-day runway haul of high fashion splendor and classy modeling steeze on 30th and 31st May ground smoothly to a soothing nostalgic bliss, bringing to its well-served Kumasi City Mall audience an epic showcasing of colourful grandeur elegance, a blend of pleasing creative geniuses by twenty one designers and a plausible experience to leave and go live with.
Drawing over 30 skillfully-trained seasoned and starter male and female runway models from Nigeria. Accra, Kumasi, Obuasi, Takoradi, Sunyani and other parts of Ghana, it was an easy telling right from the sight and body language of the open runway walk by Adage’s starter model that the models were fully poised with the collective intentional confidence to rock the designs well and satisfy the audience’s expectations to make their attendance worthwhile.
As the core soul of the event and as the main drivers of the night, the designers really understood the assignment that a 10th anniversary is no mean mileage. They brought out their grand creative genius, portraying in the fine finish of their designs that fashion in its is a whole life, not just an art of patterns stitched together.
Showcased on the Kumasi Fashion Week’s 10th anniversary runway were beautiful designs by: Adage, Brandds, Kayadua, Afriken By Nana, Adu Adjei, Kofi Owusu Aboagye, Nipo Skin, Namfo, Kyetse, Nadaratu Nahima Hamidu, Marvin Moore, Persia, Sleek By T, FIGH, House of Micky, Hall of Peters, Richye Couture, Tiag Couture Richarl Stitching Home, Sanogo Studios, Groomsmen GH and a moment of splendor hair styles made by Lush Hair.
The Gentlemen band sailed everybody’s heart through the fine waves of feel-good music, giving the occasion a super-pleasing groove.
The 2026 edition of Kumasi Fashion Week was supported by Wahala Entertainment, Orange FM, Melange and Lush Hair.
