Very much more like a still- deep-in-the-industry presence confirmation or anything right close to that sort, the Ghanaian female artiste, Ruki expressly or still impliedly left an undisputable brand statement that her music and all of her are here in Ghana’s music industry to stay and she’s firmly focused and poised to push the vital routines that will elevate her already rising brand through the echelons for her to also be at the top among the bests someday.
Of course, for Ruki to stage the second edition of her own music concert in this year’s April without fail from last year’s April 26 and still have in place a very early event plan to stage the concert again in next year’s April, is a strong statement that her brand is here to stay.
All hands stay down in quiet honesty, without any trying to dispute the fact that from 2015 coming Ruki is still the most hardworking or most consistent among Ghana’s forefront tier of reggae and dancehall female artistes. She’s has been around hard rocking paramount stages with her dominating male counterparts and she’s stayed very competitive since her year of entry into the music industry.
Ruki, now adding on her own brand title music concert, she gives every other Ghanaian reggae and dancehall female artiste a hard wide gap to close up, a profound brand visibility depth to achieve and enviable progress that most Ghanaian reggae and dancehall female artiste will take several years of serious hard work to make.
Ruki’s 2025 “Ruki & Friends” music concert took place at Rising Phoenix Beach Resort on April 26. It made a big history, being the first ever well-lit stage the venue has had in its decades of music concert records. This year, on 25th April, Ruki took the concert to New City Lounge, which is located at Spintex Kotobabi, just a few minutes away from the popular landmark Crisberry.
A hint from source rumoured that Ruki owns New City Lounge. This being true, goes a mile further to confirm that Ruki is getting deeper in the entertainment space.
New City Lounge is a go-to destination anytime of the day for relaxation, a mental reset through a calm me-time or fun leisure. The lounge has a variety of food and drinks.
On this year’s “Ruki & Friends” artiste performance list were Ras Kuuku, Iwan Suhyini, Jahwi, Lyoni Jones, Blakk Mexxiah, Singjay, Jeffrey King, Fyah Armah Kindred, Bobolati, Judah King, Double D, Ras Jimmy Opeteqwei, King Jay Wan, Adebayo Dis, Sugar Lee, Muler Palmer, Ras Kortion, Almighty Afrogee, Orobo Pepper and Asanka and Fatawu Ibrahim.
“Ruki and Friends” was brought to fruition by the collaboration between One Family (her record label) and the Africa Unite Sound System.
