News is Willy Wanta and Ras Kuuku have been meeting in Ibee’s Studio most often and the two pairing up on a beat was easily possible, and yes the pair-up fluidly happened just last week on Willy’s “Okukuseku” song for a remix version.
“Okukuseku” is a Akan word which basically translates in English as “fake friend”. Its lyrics come fully in Akan on a very powerful reggae beat. it was not built in English at all.
In most or every “Okukuseku” story, the teller puts in the core a theme line of friendship, trust, betrayal, conspiracy, jealous, backstabbing and failed or successful murder. Willy and Kuuku towed those lines, too. Clever!
At its original state, Willy Wanta’s “Okukuseku” song is lyrically great, excellently on point with a content that’s so true in real life — that any music content control expert would rate the song as perfect and may even say there’s no need for additional lyrics…..but it’s so amazing that Ras Kuuku’s added lyrics have erected a surprise proof that there was a waiting secondary lyrical perfection beyond the already “Okukuseku” lyrical perfection. If it was perfect, it’s now prefecter.
Indeed, both Willy Wanta and Ras Kuuku are indepthly privy to how bad close relation betrayal hurts by personal experience, so putting up lyrics that are excellently relevant to the song’s core theme was very much easy.
Willy Wanta is yet to set a release date for the “Okukuseku” remix, but the original song is already out on his “Most Wanted” EP. Chase the EP link below for a full download.
