Despite the ongoing modern day mass youth migration from everything folk entertainment, there still is a hefty bunch of worth-one’s-attention youngsters who are practising professional folk arts. In this appreciative bunch is Ewe’s Nutefe Worla who has creatively spun the tribe’s rare and pop dances to a contemporary fix that’s theatrically fit for commercial public amusement and she’s poised to please the world with her wow dancing and poetry.
Hailing from the popular powerful Ewe tribe by birth and naturally bearing the tribe’s typical traditional priesthood characteristics, a performing Nutefe Worla is a perfect representation of just how the ancient Ewes did the tribes dances in the olden days as she has due mastery over the moves.
Using props like: wand, anklets, bead strings, calabash, cowries, ensemble, traditional costume, white clay motifs, dummy buttocks and others…..watching a Nutefe Worla performance gives one a therapeutic taste of a rich cultural treat that empowers one’s spirit the entire time through a strong instant connection.
With Nutefe Worla, the treat is not merely of a drumming ensemble and dancing. She juggles poetry, charade, and other theatre art forms to offer a beautiful difference for her diversified delivery.
Not a lone art pro on her journey or an improving self-thought novice, Nutefe Worla is a bigtime team player. She is a member of multiple cultural troupes and that’s a smart means of acquiring more career knowledge from different tutors. From this, Nutefe Worla has mastered several dance moves.
Currently on her Youtube channel are over a dozen video snippets of her sole performances and a few group performances.
Future video uploads to the Nutefe Worla YouTube channel will be those of her very professionally-guided performances, variously: dancing, poetry, dance tuition, visual narratives, documentaries and worthy videos of relative art subjects.
